Motion Sensor Lights

• Each office and the main lobby area are equipped with a motion-sensor light system

Coffee machine

• We make coffee on-demand saving the resources that are needed to keep a whole pot of coffee hot and fresh throughout the day

Energy Saving Appliances

• All copiers and printers have an “energy save” mode
• Our office dishwasher uses Eco-Cycle to save energy and water

E-Invoicing

• Our new electronic invoicing system has eliminated paper invoices, which were previously sent though the mail.

Re-usable “For Lease” window signs

• Cardboard window signs placed in vacant windows of our shopping centers have been replaced by corrugated plastic ones that are sturdier to withstand multiple uses

Recycled Notepads

• We re-purpose printed paper for notepads used office-wide

Recycled Copy paper

• All copy paper is at least 30% recycled, most is made of 100% recycled material
• Paper is “recycled” in the office first by printing out on both sides when possible, potentially cutting the amount of paper used in half

Paperless Marketing

• Our entire team has committed to using a paper-free approach whenever possible, reducing our paper waste significantly.

Staff Involvement in Community Organizations

• Staff involvement in Board of Directors and at the “Big” level within Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County organization for a number of years
